HR 218 Certification - Course Details

The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (HR-218) allows the qualified law enforcement officer and the qualified retired law enforcement officer to carry a concealed firearm in any jurisdiction in the United States, regardless of any state or local law to the contrary, with certain exceptions.  

Upon completion of this course, students are issued a Photo Identification Card confirming they have qualified under the H. R. 218 Law.

Each retired officer will be required to provide the following items:

Identification
A Driver’s License / Pistol Permit / Retired Law Enforcement ID Card

Affidavit
An original notarized affidavit; to be notarized prior to arriving at the range.

Firearms & Accessories
A safe, functional Firearm, semi-auto or revolver.
Minimum caliber .380, maximum .45 cal.  
Two extra Magazines
A safe functional holster, strong side, hip draw, covered trigger guard.  
No shoulder, cross draw or ankle holsters.
Magazine Pouch or Speed Loader
A minimum of 50 rounds factory Brass ammunition per firearm.  No Steel, No Aluminum, No Re-loads.
