This course is for beginners to learn how to properly clean and maintain their firearm. Firearm Maintenance is an interactive course where students will learn through hands-on, practical exercises. This course will provide students with the knowledge to properly clean and maintain their handgun/rifle.
Specifically, this class will cover:
- Firearm safety
- Disassembly
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Proper use of cleaning equipment
- Solvents and lubricants
- Rust prevention and removal
- Reassembly
- How to check for unusual wear
- Function check and troubleshooting.
We provide all the cleaning supplies and will work with you one-on-one so that you fully understand the internals of your firearm. We will also as a free gift, give you a cleaning kit to take home so that you can keep up with regularly cleaning your firearm.
What to Bring
- A Firearm (Pistol, Revolver, Rifle, your choice)
- 25 rounds of appropriate caliber - Brass ammunition for test fire (if desired).
- No Steel, No Aluminum, No Re-loads.
